Framed: 38 1/2 x 33 1/2 x 3 inches.Minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is lined; passages of the canvas have been pressed due to the lining process; hairline craquelures within the sitter's forehead, to the left of her right eye, as well as along the left side of her cheek; one small area of craquelures to the white paint on the sitter's upper right arm. Under UV light: inpainting throughout the woman's face to address craquelures, as well as in areas of her hair; scattered areas of inpainting through the woman's neck, shoulders, arms, and hands, as well as along the upper right sleeve of her dress; three areas of inpainting to the background around the woman and within the white cloth below the woman's right hand, the largest approximately 4 x 2 inches in area; additional small spots of inpainting in the upper left corner of the background.
